This client had asked us to create a stepped retaining bed that matched in with the surrounding atmosphere of the garden to seem like it had always been there. I went about matching the stone that they had in their walls around the garden and designed a Fittleworth Sandstone bed system. which was constructed using a block wall retainer behind with the Sandstone stacked in front to create the same effect as the rest of the walling without putting any structural stress on any of the rest of the garden.
